Baker / Pastry Chef

At The Chapel is an all-day restaurant with an in-house artisan bakery, wine store & 8 gorgeous bedrooms. We are passionate about quality bread and the joys of a wood- fired oven. We bake the long fermented traditional way, using stone-ground organic flour, water, and salt, using a small amount of yeast in some breads and in others lots of fruits & seeds. We are on the search for a great Baker / Pastry Chef 5 x days per week, 8am -5pm, 45 hrs per week Experience in baking is preferred, with an added passion for pastry! Applicants must be reliable, methodical, organised and keen to work as part of a team. The role involves all aspects of bread production - mixing, scaling, shaping by hand and baking, together with creating beautiful desserts for the restaurant Interviews will start in January Baker - What’s in it for you?
